All courses offered are based on the American Heart Association curriculum.

All students who successfully demonstrate the required skills receive a course completion card from American Heart Association and a quick reference wallet card. Pulsus also provides you with a small gift at the completion of class.

Course books are not required for the class but are available for purchase.

Heartsaver® CPR AED

3 hours

This is the most popular class for the general public. You will be taught:

  • How to respond to someone in cardiac arrest
  • CPR techniques for adult, children and infants
  • How to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
  • How to help choking patients.

If you work in health care, you should take the Basic Life Support course.

Heartsaver® First Aid

First Aid training helps students manage an emergency during the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED

This course combines First Aid and CPR into a single course. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements.

Basic Life Support

3 hours

If you are working as a health care provider, this class will meet the requirements for your CPR certification.

The course covers CPR, AED and choking for adult, children and infants.

It also covers one and two person CPR and promotes CPR as a team.
